Having spent 25+ years honing his skills as a Human Resources Executive with best-in-class companies such as Aecon Group Inc., Mercer Human Resource Consulting and Rolls-Royce Ferranti-Packard, Scott launched Edward Smith HR with the aim of helping business leaders build profitable and sustainable enterprises through the development and implementation of effective people strategies.

A graduate of McMaster University with degrees in Economics and Labour Studies, Scott has completed the Advanced Program on Negotiation at Harvard Law School and attended the Directors College through the DeGroote School of Business studying corporate governance and executive compensation.
Scott has been a guest speaker at several conferences on leadership, employee engagement, performance management and change management.
He lends his support and HR know how to the National Office of Imagine Canada and mentors young entrepreneurs during the start-up and launch phase of their ventures.
